Beyond The Table

YOUTH ROUTES: East Africa Edition

A new kind of tourism — led by youth, rooted in culture.

We believe youth tourism has been overlooked — yet it holds massive potential. Through curated experiences, storytelling, and creative culture, The Table Kampala is creating new ways for young people to connect with Uganda — not just as visitors, but as participants in something real.

Youth Routes: East Africa Edition is our way of turning that connection into movement — exploring Uganda and East Africa through the eyes of its youth.

With our ambassadors leading the charge, we’ll spotlight local gems, hidden experiences, and authentic stories that make this country unforgettable. From food and music to design and nature, we’re inviting a new generation to fall in love with Uganda — and share it with the world.

Our vision includes:

  • An annual Festival drawing regional and international guests

  • Community-led experiences that celebrate youth culture and heritage

  • A youth-powered “Explore Uganda” campaign, run by our ambassadors

  • Cross-border collaborations that expand the Table model into other African cities — building cultural bridges, sharing stories, and driving youth-led tourism across the continent

THE PODCAST

The Table — Unfiltered Podcast dives into real Gen Z life—unfiltered, unpolished, and unapologetically honest. Inspired by the raw conversations that happen behind the scenes at our events, this podcast goes beyond the programming to explore the thoughts, struggles, and stories shaping a generation.

From identity and mental health to culture, relationships, and everything in between. Hosted by youth from our community and featuring voices across generations, this isn’t about being polished. It’s about being real. This is youth perspective, uncensored and in its own voice.

Why It Matters

In a world that’s constantly talking at young people, our podcast is about listening to them. It creates room for:

  • Stories that rarely get airtime

  • Questions without clean answers

  • Vulnerability without judgment

  • Humor, honesty, and healing

What to Expect

  • Teen and youth-led conversations

  • Special guests: creatives, parents, thinkers, changemakers

  • Series tied to real themes from our events

  • Bonus episodes recorded live from the Table

THE TABLE FOUNDATION

Where privilege meets purpose — and everyone grows.

At The Table Kampala, we believe impact should be full-circle. That’s why The Table Foundation isn’t just about giving — it’s about connecting young people across different experiences to grow together.

We work with youth from privileged backgrounds — those who often have access to opportunity but still feel disconnected, under pressure, or unsure of their place in the world. Through our events, they gain tools for confidence, purpose, and emotional wellbeing. But they also gain something else: responsibility.

They’re not just attending. They’re leading and taking an active role in:

  • Volunteering at events for underserved children

  • Hosting peer-led fundraisers and creative outreach

  • Designing experiences that make space for others

  • Learning how to use their voice and access to create change

In return, they discover a deeper sense of self — one rooted in empathy, leadership, and action.

At the same time, we make sure that underserved youth aren’t left out of the story. Through sponsorships, mentorship, and hands-on learning experiences, we offer access to the same creativity, care, and community — no matter their background.

What We Provide:

  • Sponsored access to events and programs

  • School supplies, tuition support, and digital tools

  • Creative learning (arts, storytelling, tech, wellness)

  • Safe spaces to grow, play, and be heard
